Janet Silveria grew up in Glendora, California and moved to Santa Maria in 1983 when she went to work for Bank of Santa Maria. She remained with Bank of Santa Maria up to the time of their merger with Mid-State Bank in July 1998. She remained with Mid-State Bank until July 2000, when her former employers, Bill Hares, and Jim Glines, recruited her to assist them with the opening of Community Bank of Santa Maria. The bank opened for business in March 2001 with Janet as its Chief Financial Officer. She was promoted to President and appointed to the bank’s Board of Directors in August 2012. She was additionally named Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2015. Janet graduated from Western States Banking School in Reno, Nevada in 1998 and is a class of 2009 graduate of the Pacific Coast Graduate School of Banking at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.

Janet is actively involved in Kiwanis Club of Santa Maria-Noontime and serves on the board of VTC Enterprises, Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce, the California Bankers Association, and Santa Maria Kiwanis for Kids, Inc. Janet resides in Santa Maria with her husband Dennis. They have a daughter, Samantha, who currently resides in Santa Ana, California.
